Kiropraktor Sebastian Kverneland

Questions and answers

Do I need a referral to see a chiropractor?

Short answer: no. Chiropractors in Norway are authorised health professionals with direct access, so you can book without seeing your GP first.

01

Direct access

You can book directly online or by phone. That saves you an extra GP appointment if your problem concerns muscles and joints.

02

When a chiropractor refers you on

Chiropractors can refer for X-ray, MRI and other imaging when there is a clinical reason, and to a specialist when needed. If the examination suggests another practitioner would suit you better, you will be told.

  • Referral for X-ray and MRI
  • Referral to a specialist
  • Report to your GP if you wish
03

Working with your GP

I am happy to work with your GP and other health professionals, for example by sending a report after treatment.
